Hike to Hidden Falls
Nothing beats a trail ending in a beautiful waterfall, and the Hidden Falls trail doesn’t disappoint. Known as the park’s best waterfall hike, it’s an easy and short jaunt, giving visitors instant gratification in the form of a stunning 200-foot waterfall that cascades over rock steps. Insider Tip: Climb another 200 feet to Inspiration Point and you’ll have panoramic views of the canyon, Teewinot Mountain, and Jenny Lake.
A Challenge to Paradise
If you’re looking for a true challenge, take heed of the advice of a former park ranger and venture on one of the most spectacular hikes in the world. Not for the faint of heart, if you’re comfortable following an unmaintained route, you can journey up to Avalanche Canyon where you’ll discover the impressive Shoshoko Falls and Lake Taminah.
An Underrated Gem
Want the best view of Jackson Hole and the Tetons? Uncover the secret local hike at Crystal Butte, a single track trail reaching up to 2,000 vertical feet. Generally a steeper hike, it will be worth the trek once you reach the ridge and can get a clear view of the beautiful Grand Tetons.
